Texas Health and Human Services Commission DSHS Public Swimming Pools and Spas Update

DSHS Public Swimming Pools and Spas Program Posts Draft and Emergency Rules for Interactive Water Features and Fountains
The public interactive water featureand fountain emergency rules are now posted on the website: http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/poolspa/draft.shtm.
These rules went into effect Wednesday, July 8th and will remain in effect for 120 days. An extension of these emergency rules will be filed and will extend them until December 29, 2009.
The draft of the proposed permanent rules for public interactive water featuresand fountains (PWIF's) are also available at the same Web site. Public comment and suggestions are being accepted now and until October 31, 2009.
